A rite of passage is a ritual event that marks a person's progress from one status to another. It is a universal phenomenon which can show anthropologists what social hierarchies, values and beliefs are important in specific cultures. Rites of passage are often ceremonies surrounding events such as other milestones within puberty, coming of age, marriage and death. Initiation ceremonies such as baptism, confirmation and bar or bat Mitzvahare considered important rites of passage for persons of their respective religions.
For male dogs? Well, it has more to do with a small elective surgery to make them, uhhh, a little less male. While it is by no means entertaining for the dog in question, it can be quite amusing for those not directly affected.
I had the vet give me a list of other elective surgeries we can have done later just for the comedic effect. Is that wrong?
